If you’re reading this on Friday morning, then I’m either frantically packing up last-minute beach items for myself and my toddler (Hubs can take care of himself), or currently en route to the airport – with said toddler.
If you’re reading this early Friday afternoon, then I am in all likelihood attempting to navigate airport security. With a toddler. During what would normally be her nap time. In which case, please say a little prayer for me.
If you’re reading this late Friday afternoon, then I am [hopefully] approximately 37,000 feet in the air. With the aforementioned toddler. Who is now [hopefully] napping.
And if you’re reading this on Friday evening or beyond, then I am finally, blessedly relaxing at the beach. Either that, or I’ve keeled over and died from the sheer stress and exhaustion of air travel with a two-year-old.
The point is, I am gone, baby, gone, having decided to go off the grid for the duration of my vacation.
(OK, fine – I’ll be checking e-mail, Twitter, and Facebook from my mom’s Kindle Fire.)
But I did do the unthinkable and leave my laptop at home. It’s too soon to tell whether this will lead to feelings of complete liberation or me drowning in my own sweat as I rock back and forth in the fetal position while fending off hallucinations of a giant adapter cord attempting to eat me.
Right now I just feel naked.
In lieu of authentic tapas this week, I’m sharing my all-time favorite blogs – those little corners of the Internet to which I return time and time again, either for the inspired writing, to soak up a sense of camaraderie, or simply because over time I’ve developed a vested interest in the authors’ lives and musings.
These bloggers often make me laugh, cry, think or dream. But mostly? They make me feel welcome:

‘Cause I’m leavin’ on a jet plane. Don’t know when I’ll be back again…
